This painting is called ‘The Awakening’. We awaken when we are born into an abstract world, that’s why the figures are floating in an abstract flatness. We spending most our life trying to figure out who, we are, and who they are. Then at some point we realize that we are ‘Trapped’, and that’s the next painting. This is five feet square (60 x 60 inches), its oil on canvas and I finished it in 2000. And it’s one of a, triplet I guess you would call it, of canvases, two are done, the third one is yet to be done.
