In 2015, I got this little idea after reading a small book on philosophy. That, we all choose our own destiny, and this person with his back to us, holding a ring of keys, indicates our choices. The fellow facing us is either, reaching for the key to unlock the keyhole in his mind, or he’s putting it back because he’s done it or he refuses to do it. 

 

That’s the whole story behind this one, I did sort of a gloomy atmosphere, because that’s where most of us are until we can arrange to get into the light and understand ourselves. This is done on oil on Masonite, and I did it in 2015, although I think I’ve said that already.
