This painting is called ‘He She Mountain’. I drew one line across the horizon, the she is the woman’s profile looking downwards, the sky, you can see the profile. He is the mountain, you can see his profile, with his nose, lips, chin, the rest of it I just adlibbed. I set faces up in the clouds, and in the rocks, here and there, which is sort of what I do, subconsciously I think. At any rate, it was a fun painting.
Its 40 inches by 30 inches, its oil on canvas and I did it in 2002. Nice way to start the century off. All told, there are about, maybe, 20 faces in the painting, in the clouds, in the rocks. I hid some of them from myself, I can’t find them now.
